The MIT Writing and Communication Center offers (free!) individual consultation about writing difficulties, from questions about grammer to matters of style.  While not a proofreeding service, the Writing and Communication Center offers instruction on oral presentations and writing.

The writing center can be found in the basement of the Stata Center Building (32-081).  The Center's website gives information on appointments as well as links to the online Writing and Communication Center .
