The American Society of Naval Engineers 2007-2008 Scholarships
ASNE sponsors a scholarship program to encourage students to enter the field of naval engineering and to provide support to naval engineers seeking advanced educations in the field. Programs of study which apply to the diverse field of naval engineering include naval architecture, marine, mechanical, civil, aeronautical, electrical and electronic engineering, and the physical sciences. Other programs leading to careers with both military and civilian organizations requiring these educational backgrounds are also included. Scholarship awards of $3,000 for undergraduate students and $4,000 for graduate students will be made for the 2007-2008 academic year. The candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and demonstrate a genuine interest in a career in naval engineering. These scholarships apply only to the last year of a full-time or co-op undergraduate program or to one year of graduate study leading to a designated degree in an accredited college or university. Graduate student candidates must be ASNE members. They may join ASNE when applying. Scholarship information and applications are available at www.navalengineers.org under “Scholarships”.
