Title: Entry-Level to Mid-Level Coastal Engineers, Marine Engineers, Geotechnical Engineers, and Civil Engineers Location: Bellingham, WA Company: RETEC Group
Details: The RETEC Group is currently seeking Entry-Level to Mid-Level Coastal Engineers, Marine Engineers, Geotechnical Engineers, and Civil Engineers for their growing Waterfront Development division located in Bellingham, WA. The successful candidates will hold a BS or MS in coastal engineering or closely related field with 0-7 years of hands-on coastal marine experience. Specific knowledge of harbor & marina planning, design, and permitting, wave mechanics, shoreline processes, geotechnical and marine structures, and eco-shoreline restoration is desirable. Responsibilities include the development of engineering reports, analysis of field data, preparation of construction design plans and specifications, and construction administration of coastal works. Work emphasis on marina and dock design, shore protection, coastal erosion, and dredging is desirable. Candidate should have familiarity with the US Army Corps of Engineers Shore Protection Manual or Coastal Engineering Manual. Experience with drafting software, such as AutoCAD, and numerical modeling software is a plus. Candidates must possess strong oral and written communication skills in English, be self-starters, able to set priorities, and be able to work individually and as part of a team. This position will require occasional travel and field work. Advanced certification, either PE or EIT, is preferred. Candidates with the ability to achieve their EIT within one year of hire will also be considered. Having US citizenship or already holding a permanent work visa is required.
