As one fo the most respected centers of marine learning and applied research in the world, the Marine Institute of Memorial University sets the benchmark for quality and leadership for the fisheries and marine sector.  The Marine Institute is proud to announce the establishment of a new School of Ocean Technology.  The Head, School Ocean Technology will lead the development of the school and its education and applied research programs. 

This position requires a high caliber professional with extensive knowledge and understanding of the application of a variety of technologies in the ocean technology sector, as well as insight into emerging technological applications.  Ideally, this individual holds a postgraduate degree related to ocean technology, coupled with a minimum of five years progressive and positive contribution to the ocean technology sector or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated leadership in this area.  Experience in the post-secondary environment would be an asset.  This new and dynamic position requires a decisive leader and accessible management style and formulate effective and timely responses to the articulated needs of the industry.
